Mr. Levin, whose body was discovered in a remote area, played a mohel in the series and became that profession’s “team mascot,” his son said. “Every mohel compares himself to him.”
Oregon police say they don’t suspect foul play in the death of actor Charles Levin, whose remains were found over the weekend.
Grants Pass Department of Public Safety Chief Warren Hensman told the Daily News that they have “no concern of foul play,” but that a full medical examination is still pending for the 70-year-old actor.
Remains likely belonging to Levin were found in rural Oregon over the weekend, officials announced Sunday.
The authorities in Oregon said Monday that they had located the remains of the actor Charles Levin, best known for his one-off portrayal of a mohel in “Seinfeld” and a recurring role in the series “Alice” in the 1980s.
Mr. Levin, 70, was found on Saturday several hundred feet from his car, which contained the remains of his pug, Boo Bear, in an “incredibly remote” area near Grants Pass in southwestern Oregon, said Warren Hensman, the city’s public safety chief.
The case is not being treated as a homicide or suicide, he said.
The car was off an “almost impassable road” and had been “disabled due to terrain,” the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety said in a statement.

Cameron
Boyce, the Disney Channel actor who starred in its TV series "Jessie"
and franchise "Descendants," died Saturday of "an ongoing medical
condition," his family told ABC News. He was 20 years old.
"It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron," a spokesperson for his family toldABC News.
"He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an
ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is
now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights but his spirit will
live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved
him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this
immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and
brother."
"Too young. Too sweet. Too funny," he wrote. "Just the nicest, most talented and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences."
"Cam, you were one of a kind," she wrote. "I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs. I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had … I love you so much … fly high."
Charles Esten, who played Boyce's father on "Jessie," shared a series of tweets remembering the actor on Twitter.
"It was a joy working with him on 'Jessie' as it was with all the wonderful young stars of that beloved show," he wrote. "They were as close as actual brothers and sisters to one another, and still are, and my heart breaks for them today."
"Jessie" costar Kevin Chamberlin said on Twitter, "He always lit up a room when he entered — he was an extraordinarily talented actor, a selfless advocate with his charity work and a loyal friend. Our hearts are heavy with sadness."
"Descendants" director Kenny Ortega posted a tribute to Boyce on Instagram. "It has been an indescribable honor and pleasure to know and work with him. I will see you again in all things loving and beautiful my friend. I will search the stars for your light."

On TILTED
The way you guys use the word “Tilted” is the way I’ve used the word “weird” for a long time. “Weird” is the word someone uses when they’re referring to someone doing something that they wouldn’t. Every person that you and I look up to are weird. Legends like Prince or Michael Jackson are the epitome of weird. As far as I’m concerned weird is a compliment. My view and way of thinking is different than yours. That should be celebrated.
On CREATIVITY
Art is a reflection of life. Your right brain gives you the power to digest your life in an easier way. It gives you the power to share your story with others in a way that you want it to be presented. Give 30 people the same creative assignment… draw a picture of a cloud. You’re going to get 30 unique clouds. No one’s art is the same because no one’s creative mind is quite the same. Everyone has something to contribute.
On FRIENDSHIP
Friendship to me is sacred. Doing what I do, to know there are people who will drop everything to be there for you is reassuring to say the least, and being that person for them is the best feeling. Friends becoming family is a special thing. My two best friends come to almost all of my family functions. Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day… it’s all love
