A Florida student wanted to represent his beloved University of Tennessee Volunteers during his elementary school's "College Colors Day," so he proudly made his own logo to wear. When the university learned that other students teased him for his handmade design, they turned his logo into a real shirt.

A University of Tennessee superfan was bullied after designing his own UT shirt and wearing it to school. Now, the university is featuring the fourth grader's logo on their official school merchandise.

A student at Altamonte Elementary School in Florida wanted to represent the Vols for "College Colors Day" but didn't own any official apparel for the university, teacher Laura Snyder said. Instead, he drew his own UT logo on a piece of paper and pinned it to an orange T-shirt.
Share in a Florida elementary student's Volunteer pride by wearing his design on your shirt too! Pre-order today for a late September expected delivery.

Laura Snyder, who is his fourth-grade teacher at Altamonte Elementary School, got the university’s attention after she took to Facebook on Wednesday about the bullying incident.
She said that the unnamed student had been “SO EXCITED” to wear his hand-drawn design for the school’s college spirit day.
“I was impressed that he took it one step further to make his own label,” she wrote on Facebook.
But his classmates apparently didn’t have as nice of things to say about his shirt.
